THE BURR CHASE ART CENTER
.jpg)
John Burleigh “Burr” Chase was a beloved past president of the Board of Directors at Gallery 302, a compassionate, supportive man and skilled potter. Burr and his wife Pam co-founded Mud City Studios in Sebago, ME. Pottery was another way Burr connected with people and he made his art with the idea that it should be accessible to all.
When Burr passed away in October 2014 after a battle with lung cancer, his family created an endowment in his name to support art education. The Chase Family’s generous endowment founded the creation of the Burr Chase Art Center.
We feel very fortunate for their continued support. In Burr’s memory, Gallery 302 strives to make art accessible to all.
